I practice in the Soto Zen lineage at Zenkei-ji temple. I started coming in 2014, became a regular shortly after, and started residential practice around 2016. In 2024 I was asked to step away from being a Work Leader to take on the role of Ino (Head of Meditation Hall). A little over a year later, I transitioned to being Shuso (Head Student) under Rev Choro. After a period of letting go of positions, I will be stepping into the Tanto role on April 2026.
I am a sewing teacher in training, a multi-year member of the Board of Directors, and I give the occassional Dharma Talk.
My practice asks “What is Refuge?”, “What does Zen practice look like in modern western society?”, and “How to skillfully keep the doors open for years to come”.
